Cinema and Live Music Creatively Combined

The Old Courts brings back its cinematic experience, the Not So Silent Movie Night, set to captivate audiences on Wednesday, January 31st, at the Bailiff Bar. With tickets priced at just £5.50, attendees are in for a night of unparalleled entertainment, combining the charm of silent films with the dynamic energy of live musical accompaniment.

Hosted by the charismatic Helen Finney, this unique event promises an eclectic mix of films, the specific details of which are being kept tightly under wraps to heighten the element of surprise. What is known, however, is that the talented musicians set to perform are crafting original compositions to perfectly synchronise with their assigned films.

Helen said, “Not your average Wednesday, it’s going to be a unique evening combining quirky short films and original music composed especially for this event. There’s something for everyone, historical interest, stop motion animation, propaganda and comedy/horror. All this, along with some general tomfoolery, is going to make for an awesome night”.

Matt Dickman’s soulful saxophone melodies, Dots’ diverse electronica vibes, and Taylor Giacoma’s enchanting piano performances guarantee an immersive and creatively charged evening. Wiganers are invited to experience this one-of-a-kind fusion of cinema and live music at an incredibly accessible ticket price, promising an unforgettable night out at the heart of the community.
