Mr. Wilson’s Second Liners have travelled the world with their unique take on everyone's favourite songs. They have now joined forces with The Old Courts for a live stream (covid-safe) Mad Friday night. They will be performing classic dance anthems direct to music lovers' homes for a much-needed stay at home party night, taking place on Friday 18th December from 8pm. One way to describe their music is New Orleans meets 90s club classics…a rave funeral without the body! This is no sombre occasion: Mr Wilson’s collective musical talent pay homage to the diehard days of the Hacienda, 90s club culture and its greatest hero, Mr Tony Wilson. The band along with their colourful attire and joyful music will be live streaming a 40-minute gig for the public via The Old Courts social media platforms for free. The perfect evening for all to let their hair down after such a tough year. The Old Courts is all about giving back to the community we serve. We haven't been able to open our arts centre due to COVID-19 and instead have used lockdown as an opportunity to help others in the community with food and craft parcels, welfare phone check-ins and hosting free online events for all to enjoy helping to put a smile on people's faces. The event on Mad Friday with Mr Wilson's Second Liners is just one of the many events and craft workshops and sessions we have programmed for free for the people of Wigan, Greater Manchester and beyond.
