Doors openIn 2019, Canadian poet Rose Condo created The Empathy Experiment, asking if empathy was facing extinction because of our addictions to mobile devices. Rose won Best Spoken Word Show at the 2019 Greater Manchester Fringe, received critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe, and was shortlisted for Best Spoken Word show at the 2020 Saboteur Awards.
And then … the world changed.
And soon … Rose’s relationship with her phone completely changed.
Rose brings a revised version of the show to live audiences. Still a careful blend of poetry and prose, The Empathy Experiment 2.0 now looks different in a post-pandemic climate. In this one-hour performance, Rose explores new questions about our relationship with – and to – technology in this modern age.
