Danny Boyle and Irvine Welsh, who previously teamed up on "Trainspotting", are working together again on "Creation Stories", a biopic film about Alan McGee's life and the story of how he founded the Creation Records label.
The film will give audiences a glimpse into the life and work of McGee who besides Oasis, also housed Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub and My Bloody Valentine under Creation Records.
The film stars Trainspotting actor Ewen Bremner as McGee and also features Jason Isaacs, Ed Byrne, Thomas Turgoose and Steven Berkoff. It's not currently known who'll play the Gallagher brothers but a casting call was sent out earlier this year looking for “more than just a haircut and a parka”. Any successful applicants will need to have “the swagger”, “the look” and “the voice”, and be aged from 18-23." which implies audiences will see a young Liam Gallagher depicted on screen.

On the 10th October this year, we'll be hosting "An Evening With Alan McGee".
Alan joins us in The Old Courts Theatre to give an up close and personal insight into his fascinating career taking in the highs, the lows, the legends and the downright outrageous. Don't miss this opportunity to hear the story of how one man became instrumental in defining the most notable period of UK music in half a century.
Plus, after the success of their knockout performance supporting The Sugarhill Gang in The Grand Vault, we are delighted to have secured the return of SWJ Group who will be gracing our theatre stage on the bill with Alan McGee.
