This month sees the start of Life Drawing classes in our Victorian Courtroom. The series will run for 6 weeks and each evening will be split into 2 workshops. The first part of the evening will be "Life Drawing Wrapped", a session where our model will be clothed for the uninitiated, the nervous and those wishing to experiment with drawing folds and fabric. Following that, we will have "Life Drawing Unwrapped" where our model will be nude for anatomical study. Each workshop will be run by an experienced artist who will be on hand to ask any questions you may have throughout the session.
Artists can come to all 6 sessions, building skills and confidence in a sketchbook or portfolio of work, or drop in to individual sessions as a way to create and build on their technical drawing abilities.
Attendees should bring their own materials but drawing boards will be supplied. Sketchbooks, paper, drawing materials etc can be as wide-ranging as you like - bring materials you feel comfortable with, those you'd like to try out, and anything you'd like to share with others. Here's some equipment suggestions in case you're not sure:
