DONATE

Not many people know that we are a Community Interest Company which means that 100% of our profits go back in to our projects. Like other charitable organisations we have to raise funds to enhance and continue what we do. All money that we generate from public events funds the work we do to benefit those who need our support the most. This allows us to support an ever-increasing number of people.

Donating to The Old Courts directly supports our mission to enrich lives with arts and culture as well as securing the future of the much-loved historical building we call home.

Just a small donation can bring huge benefits.

Your support will help us to:

  • Continue to support arts and well-being activities which we run on a weekly basis including Wigan Autistic Theatre Company, School Of Rock, Over 50’s Jammers sessions, Dementia Friendly Art Class and so much more.

  • Deliver weekly free events, exhibitions and ‘The Old Courts Live’ which are all designed to reach individuals who otherwise struggle to enjoy the interaction and fulfilment these activities offer.

  • Work with people from all backgrounds to nurture talent, build skills and re-enforce our belief that arts and culture bond each and every one of us.

  • Support people with learning disabilities to gain work experience, life experience and a network of friends and professional associates which provides a level playing field of opportunity.

  • Save and restore our heritage buildings to preserve their fabric and historical significance for future generations to enjoy.

VOLUNTEER

1/24

Volunteering is a fantastic way to become part of The Old Courts team. These opportunities allow individuals to gain experience and contribute to running a large arts centre with a host of different workshops and public events. Our volunteers become involved in a variety of hands-on roles that support our wide range of events. One of the main things we pride ourselves on is our friendly and helpful team who represent our organisation at public event.

Whilst we are of course passionate about arts and culture, providing a warm, helpful welcome to all visitors is incredibly important to us and our volunteers are on the front line of this commitment. Whether preparing for an event prior to doors opening, working during an event amongst the guests or helping to reset a space following an event, our volunteers help us to provide a great experience for all visitors.
