We’re so pleased to announce we’ve been successful in securing £50,000 from GMCA’s Greater Manchester Culture Fund.

Jonathan Davenport, Artistic Director, said,

“We’re absolutely delighted and incredibly grateful to receive continued support through the Greater Manchester Culture Fund. This investment gives us the confidence and capacity to keep bringing ambitious cultural activity to Wigan, while building meaningful partnerships with artists and organisations across Greater Manchester.

“Those partnerships are hugely important to us. A recent example is our co-commission with Manchester Jazz Festival and Oldham Coliseum Theatre, which supported artist Satnam Galsian to create Love or Sacrifice, a new piece of music that was premiered in Manchester before touring to Oldham and The Old Courts.

“The Culture Fund enables us to continue creating opportunities like this: supporting artists to develop new work, connecting audiences and communities across boroughs, and ensuring that people in Wigan can experience exciting, high-quality cultural activity on their doorstep. We’re proud to be part of Greater Manchester’s cultural ecology and excited about what we can achieve together over the next three years.”
