TAKING SHAPE: PAID OPPORTUNITY FOR NORTH WEST BASED ARTISTS

Everyday and Down to Earth are pleased to invite applications from established creative practitioners across the North West (including from Greater Manchester and Merseyside), to take part in Taking Shape, a new artist development programme. 🎉

This is a paid opportunity for 6 established creative practitioners living and working locally, to receive valuable training and support to develop their work with communities in Wigan & Leigh. Practitioners may work across any art form, including but not limited to visual arts, music, theatre, dance and media/digital. 🎤🎭🖼️

Over a period of 8 months, artists involved in the programme will take part in various training sessions (including certified First Aid training) and research trips and devise a short research project with support from Everyday and Down to Earth. 🤝

The project will equip practitioners with the skills and knowledge to lead high-quality, ambitious, community-led activity in Wigan and Leigh and support practitioners to understand how to sustain their practice in the borough.

⁓ The programme will take place from October 2023 – May 2024.

⁓ Applicants must be 18+.

⁓ Applications close on Sunday 24th September 2023.
