We have lent support and experience to many community-led events and projects which take place in our borough. Aside from offering help when we think it’d needed, we are regularly approached regarding events we may be unaware are being planned. One such example is Wigan Pride. We were approached when this brilliant event was just in the planning stages. From initial consultation, we joined the planning committee and played a big part in bringing the idea to fruition for year 1 and then developing it into a bigger offering in years 2 & 3
