Unlocked – Our NEW Original Music Showcase

Tommy Jones of QSOE presents two original artists each month from all genres and walks of life. On the second Thursday of each month you can expect to hear intimate sets from fantastic musicians and creative artists in a relaxed setting.

This month joining Tommy is:

Calvin Snape is a Wigan born singer-songwriter. He has been playing in venues across the North West for around 10 years.

Influenced by bands like Alkaline Trio, Green Day and McFly (yes, really), Calvin has released 3 songs on Spotify and apple music, with an album in the works. His upbeat brand of pop punk and catchy choruses will have you singing along in no time!

Cooper & The Makerfields are a five-piece band playing original music based on blues, jazz and a touch of reggae. The band was formed in the summer of 2021. Based in Greater Manchester UK, they have been performing at festivals, clubs, pubs and even private events. Their First Live album ‘title named’ was released early 2023 and has been well received and is available on your favourite streaming platforms.

It’s exactly what it says on the tin, a big fat dose of blues with touches of jazz and reggae. No gimmicks, no nonsense, just good music.

Rik Jones is no stranger to the old courts, he performed to a sell out crowd in the theatre last September with lots of original music, a few covers and compelling storytelling. Playing from the heart, this local musician who not only covers artists from the 60’s to the present day, Rik also writes and produces his own music, one of which was used in the short film ‘7 Days’. For this original music  showcase Rik will be playing some songs from new album ‘Boomerang’ which is out  7/7/23 along with few personal favourites from previous albums.
